Who am I
Ankit
Hey. I’m Ankit Chadha. I’m a medicine graduate from the University of Cambridge and now working as a junior doctor in London, with an interest in oncology.
I did the academic foundation programme in gynae-oncology at Hammersmith Hospital, London. I’m now working as an internal medicine trainee and hoping to apply for oncology specialist training next year.
I’ve always enjoyed writing medicine-based content. I started In2Med during the COVID-19 pandemic in lockdown whilst I was at medical school – since then it’s been quite a journey. I’ve won a few business awards, dabbled in making videos and courses – and will soon be releasing my medicine textbook for medical students.

My Journey
My In2Med journey started back in 2020 when I was a medical student at the University of Cambridge. When the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown happened, we (medical students) were sent home from medical school for about 6 months. I had always enjoyed writing my own notes to study – as I had a lot of time on my hands, I decided to upload my notes online and create a website, teaching myself how to code using YouTube videos. I opened up 300 places for students to test my notes so that I could get some feedback. Within 48 hours, the places were all filled, and I found out that medical students all around the country were using my notes. The next part is where it gets exciting.
When I returned to medical school, I pitched my website to the Cambridge Judge Business School and was accepted into their Accelerate Business Incubator programme. It was here where I learnt how to set up a company and how a business works.
My break came when I was awarded funding from Santander Universities. This allowed me to develop the website further and recruit medical students from universities around the UK to develop more medical resources and the website further.
It’s amazing how multi-skilled medical students are. We had students helping with course creation, video editing, graphic designing, promotion and much more.
By the time I graduated in 2021, In2Med was being used by over 1000 medical students on a weekly basis, with a mailing list of over 2000 students. We had developed 10 courses, and a host of free content for medical students.
I’m now working as a medical trainee in London, hoping to specialise in oncology. Balancing In2Med alongside working as a full time junior doctor is not easy, but in my spare time, it’s nice to sit with my laptop and a coffee and write content for medical students.
The Team
It goes without saying that In2Med could not have been built on my own. To get In2Med to the point where it is now has required a team effort.
Ellie helped to set up In2Med with Ankit. She is originally from Edinburgh. Having recently graduated from Cambridge, Ellie will be working as a junior doctor at UCH in London. In her free time Ellie enjoys running and playing ice hockey.
